On March 13, 2026, an event in Nepal explored entrepreneurship's role in enhancing economic freedom and empowering youth through innovation and personal initiative.

On March 13, 2026, the Language of Liberty Institute organized a three-hour interactive event titled “Liberty, Entrepreneurship, and Nepal” at Birgunj Public College in Madhesh Province. Bachelor-level students from diverse backgrounds gathered to explore the links between individual liberty, economic freedom, and entrepreneurship, with a focus on empowering Nepal’s youth.

The session highlighted that entrepreneurship drives innovation, growth, and job creation but thrives only in environments with freedom of thought, open markets, and minimal constraints.

Participants discussed “liberal entrepreneurship,” which centers on personal initiative and creativity as pillars of development.Key takeaways included the strong connection between economic freedom and successful entrepreneurship, the value of innovation and local resources, the critical role of youth in Nepal’s economic future, and the need for a cultural shift embracing risk-taking and initiative.

While challenges like limited resources, regulatory barriers, and traditional career preferences were acknowledged, students remained optimistic about Nepal’s potential, driven by its young population and untapped opportunities.
